We had an awesome trip to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Penang) in July/August 2010. It was a very successful first international trip with the two kids. We loved the food and unique culture, and the kids were an absolute hit with the locals.
The highlights for us include the fish spa in Kuala Lumpur (KL), water playground behind the Petronas towers in KL, and sunset drinks at Batu Ferringhi. Food wise, the highlights include the dim sum breakfast and high tea in George Town, and eating stingray in KL. For Olive, her highlights were the two butterfly farms we visited, a horse ride along the beach in Penang and the Cosmos indoor theme park in KL. Jetson just enjoyed the huge amount of attention he received.
